1995 Ford F-150 spongy brake peddle on second tap

Hi,

I have a 1995 f150 and when applying the brakes the initial depression is solid however if you are to let up on the pressure and reapply the peddle will travel close to the floor before building pressure. Once the brakes have been released and the vehicle is moving again normal pressure returns for the next initial depression.

The master cylinder and booster were replaced 20,000 miles ago at the dealer and the pads have 25% left on them

I would appreciate any thoughts.

THat is the opposite of everything I have experienced. Have you checked the rear brakes to make sure they are properly adjusted or does it have rear disc? Also, when you release the brakes the first time, does it seem that any of the brakes may be sticking? Try this. Raise one wheel at a time (Safely) spin the tire and have a helper hit the brakes to see if they all release as soon as the brakes are released.

Even though the master cylender was replaced 20K ago, that is the last thing left.
