My engine has smoke coming from the filler cap or dip stick once removed however my engine temp. Remains normal.A little white smoke comes from exhaust only when first cranked up after warming nothing comes out but trickle of water. Why is my engine smoking on the inside?

See my profile. Yes this is compression BLOW-BY in your crankcase,

Large mounts usually mean your RINGS are not as young as they used to be, and are worn or stuck.

Small amounts are sucked into your intake by PCV. This is maybe a symptom of PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) system not operating correctly (removing bad vapors from crankcase).

See if/ replace PCV if not sucking vacumm properly. Look for disconnected PCV vac. Line. Dirty PCV Filter usually found in air cleaner

If PCV system is good. Try running MARVEL MYSTERY OIL in place of 1 qt. Of oil at change(s) to free up rings.
