First, I have to stress we only recommend direct fit parts because there always seems to be some issues when you change things from year to year. Regarding your question, it will bolt right in. However, you will need to change everything over from the old engine to the new one (injection, sensor, vacuum harness, wiring...) Before you even start, closely check the two engine and compare them to make sure everything will work. Again, the engine block should be the same, it is the other things that change over the years that cause problems.
