How do I set the back lash on gear/pinion for 9in ford rear end 3.50?

remove the driveshaft.
and from there jack up the vehicle and remove weight from rear. from there you can remove the pinion nut and pull out the pinioin shaft and pinion bearings. from there add whatever shims necessary to correct the problem.
