Check Engine Light - Help!

I have a 1994 Ford Explorer Sport. It runs fine, but has had the "Check Engine" light on for about 3 years. Any way I can turn it off? I want to sell the vehicle, and it is a false red flag. Many Thanks!

If the light has been on this long then there is something causing it to come on. Take it to a big chain autoparts store and have them pull the code for you. Most of them will do this for free. At least then you will know whats is wrong. You can also have them clear the code for you, but I suspect that the light will come back on shortly after. If there is a problem that the engine management system is detecting it will only turn the light back on again until the problem is fix. Good luck
