2002 Ford Explorer shaking when turning steering wheel

Hi, our water pump just recently went out and we had it replaced. Now the truck shakes like crazy when you are turning the wheel at slow speeds, for instance pulling out of the driveway and turning a corner. The engine seems to be running great. I did have to pull my husband home with a rope when he broke down. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch.

I assume you towed with the Exporer? Have the front end components checked, with over 100,000 miles, it's not out of the realm of possibilty that you have a few worn front end parts.
