2002 Ford Explorer Oil Pressure

My check gages light keeps flickering on and off. The engine is ticking and the oil pressure gage will fall then go back to normal. The engine now will stall and not start for a few minutes. Could this be the oil pump going out?

YES, STOP DRIVING IT, if it isnt too late already.Oil level good? Have this taken care of before you do serious damage to the engine.

Yes my oil level is good. I am not driving it. It is still under warranty so I am taking it back to the dealer I bought it from to have repairs made. Thanks
