Transmission problem
1996 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi I;m getting a p0751 code Shift Solenoid A ckt Performance or Stuck off. Do anyone know want it is and how to fix it. My o/d drive off light was flishing and went back off. But I got the code.

Hi:
There are a few different ones. I need to know if you have been having trouble when the trans has been shifting between any specific gear.

The shift solenoids are located on the valve body in the transmission. When you remove the trans pan, you will see them. Here is a picture of their locations.

All my gears is working I had my o/d off light come on. Win I turn the car off and back on the light went off. But I got the code.

If the transmission is working fine presently, have the code reset and see if it comes back on. It could have been a once in a lifetime problem.
