1993 Ford Explorer Transmission?

Transmission problem
1993 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My car is a 1993 Ford Explorer. I went to go driving today and when it was cold it wouldn't shift into the second gear. When the car heats up it shifts just fine. What do you recommend is the problem?

Hi there,

This could be a number of things like a sticky solinoid or shift valve, I would start with a service & report from a transmission specialist as they will have the equipment to run a few tests that will help with the diagnosis, start here,
