1993 Ford Explorer Hard Time putting into Park

I am having a hard time putting the vehicle into park, I have to play with it a couple of times before it slips into park.

Either the park pawl is wearing down, or the shifter needs to be adjusted. Loosen the nut on the tranny shift lever, push it into park, retighten. Have someone on the brake so you don't run yourself over!
