Okay, to start, each coil pack has it's own cylender. They are mounted to where each spark plug goes into the top of the head. One bolt holds them in place. It looks like they will hit the fuel rail and not come out, but I assure you there is no need to remove the fuel rail.
As far as the miss, the check engine light will tell you where the problem is coming from. What you need to do is take the car to a nationally recognized part store and have them scan the computer for codes. If I had to guess at this point, you will find there is a cylender misfire. The scan will tell you which one. At that point, remove the coil pack, check the boot that goes to the spark plug for evidence of it arcing which could cause a miss, and remove the plug and check it to make sure it isn't fouled. At 68K, you shouldn't need new plugs, but if you were trying to get unstuck for some timereving the engine and then letting off, it may not be a bad time to replace them. Also, let me know if the scan shows something different. I will help you from that point if needed.
Take care and let me know what you find.
Joe
