The timing belt broke and fuel pump went out. Both have been replaced and car runs good. However, when gas tank gets below half full, car bogs down when turning corners. Acts like it is starved for fuel. Fill the tank up and there is no problem.

My 97' Escort is experiencing the same issues, "Loss of Power when making right hand turns, when my tank is less than 1/2 full" Did you happen to correct this problem with your car, and if you did, Can you please tell me what you found was the problem.
Thanks,
