1993 Ford Escort front brake rotors

How are front brake rotors held on?Are they held on by lugs holding wheel on, or something else?Look pretty tight. Will a good heavy swing of a B.F.H. Loosen/remove them?Need replaced anyway-not concerned about damage to them. Thanks.

If after these steps rotor seems stuck, bang on it with rubber headed mallet to jar it loose.
