2005 Ford Escape My Escape shudders is this safe

2005 FORD ESCAPE
60,000 MILES • 6 CYL • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

When accelerating from a stop or going around a corner my Escape shudders(fells like it is coming from the rear) until you reach about 15-20 miles an hour.Any Idea what might be causing this?Is it safe to drive?

Bob, without being there to check it, I can't tell you if it is safe to drive. Can you tell me if the tires are in good condition? Are they properly balanced? Also, where do you feel the shudder the most, the steering or the seat / floor of the vehicle?
