When I am refuelling my car I am having trouble getting fuel to go in from the nozzle without spitting back out and tripping the nozzle off. I can successfully fill my car from a jerry can but this is not a fun process and takes time and is an inconvenience. Is this a venting problem and how can I repair it?

Yes it is a venting problem. If air can't escape from the tank fast enough, the fuel can't enter. As a result. if comes back out the filler tube. If you craw under the vehicle where the filler tube is, you will see a smaller hose that follows the filler. That is the breather. Make sure it isn't damaged or plugged.

Let me know what you find.
