Part of the filter fell off

I hit a snow and this thing fell off. I think its part of the filter. My question is, can I drive it with out it?

That looks like the intake resonator assembly from up behind the fender.

You can run the car without it but you will lose a bit of power because it draws in air from a cooler location than the engine bay. I would probably try to get it re-attached as soon as it warms up a bit. It also helps keep trash out of the filter.
