Hi, the engine cooling fan comes on too often it seems. Even after a two mile run at 60 mph, at the next lights it comes on. There is no coolant loss and the temperature gauge never quite reaches half way. However, just ticking over for ten minutes at the recent MOT, it did not come on.

Sounds normal. However, the only way to be sure would be to put a scan tool on it and see what temperature the ECM is actually seeing from the sensor. Not sure if that gauge is a real gauge or not, many these days are glorified idiot lights. They are set up with a simple resistance that reads mid scale.

Have a scan tool look at the live data and see if the temperature matches the fans set points. Your vehicle was never sold in the US, so we have very limited information on them.
