I wrote you two days ago and even sent in a donation but didn't get an answer just a receipt. How long does it take to get an answer? My car's Texas Safety Inspection was aborted because my car was not communicating with the Inspection computer. It did this at two Firestone's. The O'Reilly tool readout for the PCM is no codes found. The check engine light was on three week ago. I had the gas cap, -02 sensor and Purge Solenoid replaced as well as the air filter. I always turn the gas cap five or even seven extra clicks. The tail light was out and it took three hours to change it because the light kept going out when I snapped the socket back into the lens cover. The car battery went dead on Wednesday because of that. On Saturday It aborted inspection at Firestone for the second time. All the lights worked. The car drives fine. Inspection is due this month. What should I do to get the car to pass inspection? Will driving it on a bunch of highways help?

I haven't done anything else except look at newer cars and left my driving pillow at the car place. I want the car to pass inspection without spending lots of money because I just put five hundred dollars in this car in the last three months. I was hoping it was something simple.

Once your trouble codes have been cleared you need to drive around 50 miles to reset the monitors before the check engine light will reset enough for the test station to allow it to pass even though it is not showing the check engine light on your dash.
