Fail safe mode, no response from accelerator pedal

The place to start would be with a scan tool. There are multiple items that can cause the car to go into limp mode. From a bad gas pedal to internal transmission failure. Without scanning it and seeing what it shows as a problem you could end up spending a lot of money and still not repairing it.

Hello,

I have seen a dirty throttle bore cause this issue creating a correlation loss between the actuator and sensor. I would disconnect the battery service the throttle bore then clear the codes and try it again. Here is a guide to help the service and a video to help clear the codes:
