Car listed above is the LS model 2.2l ecotec. Vin f. What is causing this and how to fix? I replaced the vent valve and purge valve. Those are the smaller of the EVAP components that I have tried so far (one on the engine and one next to the gas tank). I even replaced the gas cap. So, do I also have to replace the charcoal/vapor canister as well? That’s a larger component and do I have to remove the gas tank to get to it? Thanks for any information.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Honestly, I have seen the filler tube to the tank rust and create a large leak. Check that. Also, the best thing to do in this case is the smoke the system. Basically, smoke is put into the EVAP system via a port in the engine compartment at a very low pressure. If there is a leak, smoke will come from it. That is the easiest way to do it, but it does require a smoke machine. You may want to have that done if you can't locate the leak.

Let me know if I can help.
