I keep getting these two codes P0420, and P1800. I can clear the codes and they will stay off for about a week or two then they come back. I feel no difference in the performance of the engine, but then it is a minivan so I am not racing around.

Good morning

clearing the codes does nothing for the issues as they are active codes.

The 420 is a bad catalytic converter. The precious metals inside are worn out and the converter needs to be replaced

the 1800 is more complicated. It has to do with control for the power valve in the intake and requires a scan tool to monitor its control. The valve id the most common failure but needs to be confirmed before guessing

Component Description
The VIAS control solenoid valve (2) cuts the intake manifold vacuum signal for power valve control. It responds to ON/OFF signals from the ECM. When the solenoid is off, the vacuum signal from the intake manifold is cut. When the ECM sends an ON signal the coil pulls the plunger downward and feeds the vacuum signal to the power valve actuator (1).
