I have the car listed above Supreme S. The car has been shutting off with hard acceleration, rough idling, white smoke out of the exhaust that smells like raw gas, gas in the oil, and fouled spark plugs. I have checked the coil pack, throttle position sensor, and I’ve even bridged port A and B to see if it’s giving off a code. Even though there is no check engine light. Can anyone give me any ideas as to what is wrong with my car? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning,

The most common failure for this is the fuel pressure regulator. It has a vacuum line on the regulator. If you turn the key to the on position, remove the hose and see if fuel comes out. That will tell you if you have a bad regulator.

I turned the key and no fuel came out of the vacuum line. I know I can also pressure test it but I’m not sure if it’s worth it. Do you know what else it could be?

Okay, that is the 3.3 engine, not the 3.1.

Okay, the only other way that fuel can get into the system like that is from the injectors.

I would release the fuel rail and lift it up with the injectors attached. Turn the key on and see if any of the injectors are leaking.

That’s weird the top of the engine says 3.1 but hey I’ll take your word for it. I’ll also tested the injectors next. Thank you for the help and I’ll let you know what happens.
