The engine on my car went out. I found a car that had the same make, model and year with the same engine the only difference is the transmission. My original car is an automatic and the new car I found is a manual, is it possible to swap the engines even with them having different transmissions?

You really need to pose that question to the people at a junkyard. They have an interchange book that we don't have access to that will tell you exactly what fits. Sometimes the engines are different for manual vs auto trans and sometimes they aren't.
