My car has a twin cap motor in it, but will a 2.8 multiport F1 fit in it?

Yes it will, but the computer as well as wiring harness may not and it will think it is a four cylinder unless you put the right computer in. It is very possible to the harness going to the wrong places, stick with the four banger for ease of replacement or rebuild yours.
