While driving car the engine started to shake heavily, one I pulled over I noticed that there was oil dripping. I cannot tell if it has lost power due to not wanting to make matters worse. One of the four spark plugs has oil on it when I took them out.
Any help on the cause and how to fix would be amazing. Thank you.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

Can you tell me where the oil is dripping from? Also, was the oil on the outside of the spark plug or on the side that goes into the engine? Did the check engine light come on? And just to reconfirm, it only has a little over 11,000 miles?

If the check engine light has come on, you should start by scanning the computer for trouble codes. Since it started shaking, it may have been a misfire. Here is a video that shows how to use a scanner. If that is something you do not have (and most do not) see if a local parts store will lend or rent one to you.

Additionally, here is a link that discusses oil leaks:

Here is one that discusses a misfire/rough engine:

Also, if you could upload a picture of where the leak is located and the spark plug you mentioned, it may be helpful. If you do scan the computer, that would likely be very helpful.

Let me know,
Joe

It is 113,000 miles not 13,000 sorry about the miss type. The oil is on the part of the plug that goes inside. I have not had the time to check for the leak origin due to lack of light. And I did not look for the engine light.

Hi again. It sounds like you may have a valve cover leaking. Check to see if the check engine light is on. If it is, scan the computer to determine if there is a misfire code. If there is, let me know what it is. You may have a plug shorting due to oil saturation. That would cause a misfire and the heavy shaking you felt.

Let me know what you find.
