Engine replaced

I just had the engine and fuel tank replaced in a f450 Super Duty. When I got it back from the mechanic I noticed the presets for the radio and the clock were the same as before I had work done. That made me suspicious if the engine was in fact replaced. Would the presets in the radio or the clock be changed if the engine was replaced? How can I find out if a new/ used engine has been installed?

They could easily have used a "memory saver" to prevent loss of presets. They simply plug into the cigarette light. They could also have an internal lithium battery to retain presets. You could have another shop look at it and they will know what to look for to determine if the engine has been removed recently.
