If the hub of the pulley has a collar, (lip), about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, there is a special puller made for those. In the past the new pulleys came with a bolt and a special spacer used to set the depth of the pulley when you press it back on. If it is in too far or not far enough by 1/16" you will usually end up with a belt squeal.
The tool to remove the pulley is a special tool provided by Chrysler to the dealers, but you can also find a kit that covers more applications from the guys who drive the tool trucks. They visit most shops once per week. You can ask at any shop who is in your area and when they show up there.
You also stand a good chance of finding this tool at auto parts stores that rent or borrow tools.
