While I was driving on the highway, I accidentally turned on my Eco Mode system and then turned it off a moment later. I haven't used Eco Mode in years. Shortly after getting off the highway (maybe five miles later) the notice for "engine power reduced" came on. My engine power then reduced significantly and I pulled into a gas station. After turning the car off for a moment and turning it back on, the notice went away and I was able to drive home at full power again. Now it drives like normal. Could this be due to turning on and off Eco Mode in the way that I had?

Hello, I'm Danny.

The best thing to do is perform a CAN scan on all the computer systems on your car. This will determine if there is a fault code stored in your cars computer. The CAN system scan will test all area systems of your car. Here is the tutorial on how to perform a CAN scan:

Once you perform this procedure we then ask you to get back to us with all the code information if it has any and we can then properly diagnose the Eco Mode issue on your car. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
