Okay, so not long ago I had to replace my water pump and discovered a tiny hairline crack in the radiator. Today I was going and heard a clicking whenever I pressed the gas, it got worse until I pulled the car over and it cut itself off before I could. At this point the temp gauge read normal, but after pulling over the engine was smoking really bad and the temperature needle slowly steadily rose all the way to the top. After letting it cool off, I put water in and tried to get home and right by my house it had started again, and I could tell it was smoking but my temp gauge wasn't reading high. Then after pulling over again, I popped the hood and now it's got most of my oil blown out all over the engine. :( What's going on? Please tell me I haven't blown a head gasket.

It does sound like the head gasket might be blown but to tell for sure let's go over this guide:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/head-gasket-blown-test

Run this test by renting the kit from the auto aspt store for free or cheap. The temperature gauge read normal while overheating because the coolant was low, or exhaust gases have filled the cooling system. Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.
