I am having a 1.6 CRDI verna of 2011 which emits smoke in the morning for 30 secs after starting the engine later this smoke is vanished, Also around 1 litre engine oil is getting used within 500kms of run. Poor pickup is also noted due to which mileage had reduced to 12km/ ltr disel.
Kindly help?

Ay be a problem with worn valve guides or vale stem seals, very common problem with many cars when they get a few miles under the belt, pull the spark plugs and look for white ash deposits on the earth electrode, this will show which cyl is leaking oil. Let me know what you find, I do feel that it will be in the valves as if it was a ring problem, it will smoke up all the time.

I am sorry Sire but Mine is 1.6 crdi engine and its not having spark plugs, One of my known mechanic had raised issues in turbo and egr valve. Shall I go fr a check and can I know what are symptoms of erratic turbocharger in CRDI engine?

I would still be considering valve guides or stem seals, if it was rings as I said earlier it would smoke all the time, if the turbo seal was faulty it would also smoke all the time, and the egr would not cause oil burning
