The engine uses a lot of oil. The oil pressure gauge is pegged as high as it can go past 80. Car knocks unless I use 93 Octane. Has new plugs, wires, oil is changed every 3000. Filter too. I bought it in April of 2019 with 20,000. First time around. Owned by old people for first 10,000 miles. Then 20 year old's first car. She drove it for about a year and a half until it didn’t run. Then I bought it. There are no leaks. Why is it consuming so much oil?

Hello,

This is a dangerous condition for the longevity of your vehicle's engine. Too much oil can cause a lot of problems such as blown out gaskets and breaking internal engine parts. I would highly recommend draining some engine oil until it reads in the proper range of your engine's oil dipstick. Having too much oil in it is probably the reason for the excessive oil consumption. Please get back to us with how things turn out.

Thanks,
Alex
