My check engine light has been on for a while, and I was told it was because of a faulty purge valve, and that it was not really serious. I finally got around to replacing it (did it myself, but seemed fairly straight forward). I took it out for a drive, and after about ten minutes, I could feel the car pulse slightly, almost like I was letting off the gas, and the check engine light started blinking, but only for a few seconds. Any idea what could have caused this?

you have to have the code erased after changing a part and that may be the problem. get it erased then start over.

I took it in, and it came up with P0014 and P0024, which show as both cam shaft issues. Not sure why this would happen after replacing a purge valve.
