Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com. The first thing you need to do is have the computer scanned. If the check engine light is coming on, there will be trouble codes stored which will indicate where the problem is coming from.

If you scan the vehicle yourself, you will need to find the data link connector, (DLC). It is under the dash on the driver's side. I have attached two pictures for you. Note: Many of the parts stores will scan the computer for you for free.
