I have no spark coming from the coil. The coil and starter are both brand new. It was my dad's truck an he gave up on it some time ago so the truck has sat for 5 years. I checked the ASD relay and that is functioning properly. I did find a bad splice under the outside relay box on the left hand side of the truck. I repaired the bad splice but still no spark. I have tried finding a schematic online to see if I was getting power to my PCM but I couldn't find anything. I have no check engine light coming on on the dashboard. Maybe the bulb is bad I haven't yet pulled the bezel off to find out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

This could be a problem with the Hall Effect Pickup Sensor that is located in your vehicle's distributor. In the diagrams down below I have included the instructions for the removal and installation of the Hall Effect Pickup Sensor, as well as the starting circuit and engine management wiring diagrams for you. Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you so much. I will go through the diagrams an see if I can find anymore bad wires or splices. My distributor doesn't have the hall effect it just has points and a condenser, but I will surely try to chase down some of the wires. Also I ran a spark plug straight off the coil and had no spark. That's what makes me think it's a bad wire or possibly a bad computer.
