Erratic engine RPMs

I started my vehicle and my RPMs skyrocketed and then bounced up and down. I put it in reverse and it slammed full speed in reverse and my brakes are barely working. I put it back into park and the RPMs stayed max.

This could be a couple things, but what I would suggest we start with removing the intake tube to the throttle body and restart the engine and make sure the throttle is not sticking.

Basically you will see the throttle plate is remaining open and not moving. So if it is stuck open then that is the issue.

I attached the info below on the throttle body but I suspect the cable is the issues and we need to start with making sure it is not stuck open.
