After 1,500 RPMs the engine shuts off?

When I try to accelerate, after 1,500 rpm, the engine stops.

There are many parts that can cause this. Is there any more information you can provide? Is the check engine light on and if so, what are the fault codes?
Does the engine shut off completely or just stumble?
Do all the lights on the instrument cluster go out or do they all illuminate?

Hi,

Yes, the check engine is on the dtc code is P0089. I must add that the fuel pressure regulator is recently changed.

The P0089 code for a 2009 Chevrolet Captiva indicates an issue with the Fuel Pressure Regulator. So the new one must have gone bad or you have a fuel pressure sensor that needs to be replaced.
