Hi, I recently was checking the oil level on this truck. I pulled the dip stick and accidentally touched the positive terminal on the battery and the dip stick tube at the same time. Some sparks flew from where the dip stick was touching the battery terminal. It only happened for about a second or two and the dip stick got hot. The only places the dip stick touched was the positive battery terminal and the engine. Could this have damaged anything?
Thanks

You are probably good to go!

Bad HEYMAN764

Do not do it again! Lol!

Is the dipstick still serviceable? Did not just about burn him in half.

Might look at the auto store for on of them plastic snap type covers to put over/ around your positive clamp.

I have seen other stuff like tools laid across the battery, then when you are buried elbow deep in the engine compartment with a ratchet, you bump the tool on the battery, and you begin that sparky dance until sparks finally stop!
