Short end of longer story. Trucks fuel pump quit while I was moving. Truck would start and run when fuel was poured into intake. Had to tow truck home. Ran computer reader and got indeterminate reading. Continued trying to get code. Truck would still start when fuel poured in. Then everything died. I now cannot seem to find a good ground anywhere on engine or frame. (Note: original battery has died and was side connection. I am forced to use a top post battery now and use battery jumper cables clamped to positive and ground original cables) When I use battery jumper cables (positive clamped to positive post on battery, negative clamped on negative post, and each clamped to battery cables, I cannot get any readings of power anywhere. But by removing the ground jumper from original battery cable and grounding my circuit light probe directly to the jumper, I find I have power to starter, alternator and connector block on the firewall. Real problem! Since this happened I moved. Now the neighbors have formed a Home Owners Association and are going to force me to move my truck if I cannot start it ASAP. I need some help in a most serious way. Can you help?

Remember to check both ends of the cables.
