EGR valve?

Is it worth Buying the car listed above that has problem with its EGR valve?

Hi Judy,

The EGR valve is easily replaced, but the idea that there is an issue makes it difficult for me to answer. An issue can be caused by a few different things. For example, there could be a vacuum issue with the EGR or the intake/EGR valve could be loaded with carbon restricting airflow to name a few.

I attached a pic of the EGR location and highlighted it. As mentioned, it isn't difficult to replace if that is all that is needed. Note: The pic is for the V6 engine. A V8 was offered, and it is different, so let me know if it is the V6.

If by chance, the computer has been scanned to determine an EGR issue, see if you can find out what it is. It will help me identify possible causes and narrow things down for you.
