Hi,

I'm not sure where you are located, but in many states, it will cause the vehicle to pass an emissions test. Many regions have strict emissions regulations, and tampering with emission control systems, including the EGR system, can lead to a vehicle being non-compliant.

Disabling the EGR system can trigger a check engine light to stay on. I'm in Pennsylvania and if the check engine light is on, it automatically fails an emission inspection.

What are the reasons you want to delete the EGR?

Let me know. Also, let me know where you are located.

Take care,

Joe

Thank you, but i was expecting a technical solution. The other side is not important for the situation.

Hi,

A technical solution? You asked what the consequences of deleting the EGR can be. What do you mean by a technical solution? I'm confused. The solution to prevent what I mentioned would be not to delete the EGR, but I'm not sure what you need.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

Hi, excuse my confusion.
I mean the possible consequences on the engine, not on the environment.
Thank you.

As far as mechanical damage is concerned, it really shouldn't cause problems. However, the EGR system plays a role in controlling combustion temperatures and preventing excessive heat. Over time, it could shorten the life of the engine from wear.

Other than that, I don't see any problems.
