I still cannot figure how this dust cover bolts up. the first two pictures I'm sending is of the dust cover that goes on my truck! The send set of items I'm send is the diagrams I was sent of the dust cover. I just can't figure how it bolts up; do I really need to put it on? Anyone have a better pictures?

Hi again.

I am going to try and explain this as best I can as it may get confusing so sorry in advance.

First and foremost, you need to separate the cover in half from the bolts that I am pointing to in the first attachment.

Then in the next two attachments, I label each of the bolt locations for when you hold it up to the transfer case.

Then when the half of the cover is bolted in place, you put the other half that you removed on and it should just fall into place.

The last attachment is the process to install it and you will notice that this only shows half the cover because the other half is already removed.

Please run through this and let us know if you still can't get it and maybe it will be best if you hold it up on the vehicle and we can see what may be in the way preventing this from going on.

Thanks

It covers the shaft that comes from the front axle to the transfer case, right?

Thanks Sir

That is correct. It should be the front drive shaft cover on the transfer case. the drive shaft connects the transfer case to the front axle.

Let us know if you still can't find its place and we can dig further on this. Thanks

Yes. That is the skid plate that goes under the transfer case. There should be a cross member that it bolts to, and the angled end of the plate goes towards the rear and points upward.

I attached the best picture I could find. It is blurry but should be good enough to get this back on.

Just to orient yourself, this picture is taken laying on your back looking from the front to the rear of the truck. So, this plate will be on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Let us know if you need more on this one. Thanks
