Key stuck in ignition and wont start again

After riving I went to turn off the engine. I could not turn off the engine and the key would not move. Got the key out after hours. Ignition light still on, but it will not start and rest of ignition lights do not come on.

That sounds like a problem with the ignition switch. It is probably the tumblers inside the key portion of the switch or the springs that keep tension on the tumblers.
