Have been having the floors of the driver’s side getting soaked with water. We checked no symptoms of the heating coil. Cleared the plugs for both the windshield and what appears to be the condenser plug of any debris. Have shown vacced and used dampride multiple times. Getting super frustrated with where the water is coming from and how to stop it. Also, checked windshield itself, no leaks.
I would really appreciate the help!

Good afternoon,

There is a one way drain valve on the cowl. This is in the area below the windshield on the driver's side. It looks kind of like a grill. It is intended to drain the water that comes off the windshield.

The valve could be clogged or faulty.

I would try replacing it. The Nissan part number is: 66348-1HL0A Retail price is about $35.00.

If the cowl cannot drain it will overflow and possibly find its way down the firewall and into the vehicle. Which would make the floor wet on the driver's side.

You will need to remove the windshield wipers in order to remove the cowl as well as several clips.

There should be one clip that holds the one-way valve in place. The part number for that is: 01553-2DR9A

Then there should be 5 other clips that hold the cowl in place. The part number for those is: 66820-2DV0A

I would strongly recommend replacing these clips as they are cheap and break more times than not.

I would get the parts right from the dealer to make sure they fit the way they are supposed to.

If you go to https://parts.nissanusa.com/ you can input the part numbers and have them shipped right to your home. Plus, Nissan offers a discount on their website.

To remove the wipers, you will need a puller. I have added a picture of this tool. You can find this tool at your local auto parts store. *Be careful when removing these because the part the wipers attach to is aluminum. Make sure both sides are clean, especially the grooves, before re-installing the wipers. * I would use a stiff brass brush to clean them and a little WD-40 to aid in installation.

As far as getting the water out of the vehicle, try running the A/C with the defrost on. Defrost works by bringing the outside air in which is dryer. This will help reduce the humidity in the air and thus hopefully help remove the moisture from the car.

I am also adding an exploded view of the cowl area for your reference.

Let me know if you need anything else or I can help in any other way. Reply back anytime.

Thank you,
Brendon
