I have the car listed above convertible. My friend told me it was a doughnut gasket that needed to be changed but nether AutoZone nor O’Reillys have it even listed in their computers. I don’t know what to do but the ticking sound is driving me nuts!

We are going to need a little more info about the ticking noise and the gasket that you are looking for. Unfortunately a doughnut gasket is not the technical name for it so we won't be able to find it. I am not familiar with what this could be so can you ask your friend where it goes and I will be better able to tell you what it is?

Also can you get a recording of the ticking noise so we can try to identify it with you?

Donut gasket is the flange gasket. Here is a video showing a exhaust manifold gasket being replaced the flange gasket is built into the manifold but it shows the job being done. you will just need the flange and manifold gaskets.

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

Please run down this guide and report back.
