My passenger window does not drop down when the door opens like it should and the lock doesn't work on it either. I took it to a mechanic shop I will not put on blast right now, and they charged me $580.00 for the labor to do diagnostic on it. They claim it took 6 hours of labor to do the diagnostic but the $580.00 didn't cover fixing it. So, it is still broken and now they want $731.84 to fix it and $441.84 is for labor. I am a girl, so I feel I am being taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge of cars. They charged me $1,926.11 with $1,270.00 of it being for labor. They diagnosed my door lock for $580.00, said they replaced a lower engine shield (which is not done, and I still do not have one) for $303.03, and said they replaced my wheel housing lining (which they did not do, and I don't have one on my car still) for $315.04. Now they won't answer my calls and I am so frustrated, but I don't know how much it should cost for these things or what I can do about them not doing what I paid for! Also, my car keeps shutting off when the RPMS drop, what could that be? Thank you for your time and I look forward to talking with you!

We can only handle one problem at a time. It sounds like they don't know the car and you are paying the price. These cars are specialized, and you must go to a Porsche mechanic. Here is how you can change the latch out. If you want to see what it will take to fix the problem, please post your additional problems in a new question.
