The door ajar light is on in the dash as well as the dome light will not go out along with white high mount lights. I have checked both door ajar switches located in either door and both are work as they should. I am lost as what the next problem may be. Thanks

Hi,

How were the switches checked? If you haven't, disconnect one switch at a time and see if that turns them off. If it does, replace the switch.

I attached a picture below from the wiring schematic. There is power to each door light switch all the time. The switch allows a path to ground to complete the circuit when the door is open, Try what I suggested if you haven't.

If one of the switches isn't an issue, then we must have a short to ground at some point. We'll get to that once I know what has been done.

Take care and let me know,

Joe

I checked ohms of resistance through the door ajar switch and both work on the driver and passenger side door. In the photo that you attached it has reference to a rear door switch, I have butterfly doors where the second door is one of those half door things, is there a sensor in the bottom of the door? If so how would I check it.

I know there are door ajar sensors in the door. However, it could be in the latch assembly, the door itself, or in the door frame. Take a look around the frame as well as the door itself. If nothing is found, then it's in the latch.

As far as checking, it is done the same way as the others.
