I don’t drive this car much. I usually try to take it for a spin of ten to fifteen miles every week or so and it’s fine. I keep up with oil changes and all. Would it be okay to sometimes drive this car every nine days for that distance? It’s a bit of a hassle to drive it as I do. Maybe I don’t need it anymore but until I decide to sell it would driving ten to fifteen miles every nine days also be acceptable as long as I keep up with oil changes and such? I know it’s fine once a week but I don’t want to push my luck and have troubles. When I drove it a week ago it was for forty plus miles. Does this make any difference?

Hello, I'm Danny.

That sounds like a great routine! You could extend it a little bit longer. Usually that is done to keep the battery charged. Just make sure all the fluid levels are kept up/maintained.I wouldn't see any problems going every two to three weeks with your routine. Also you can buy a battery tender that stays plugged on the battery to an electrical house outlet keeping the battery charged up. If you do that you could extend to just once a month. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
