Fuel regulator location needed

When driving the car doesn't have power it does then it doesn't. Does my engine have a fuel regulator if so where would it be located?

Hi,

The Holden Rodeo wasn't offered in the US, but I believe it is the same as the Isuzu Rodeo that was.

I looked up information on the Isuzu simply because I have no technical info listed for a Holden, but they should be the same.

As far as the fuel pressure regulator, it should be mounted to the fuel rail on top of the engine. I attached a pic of what it should look like. Also, note there will be a vacuum hose going to it.

If you believe the regulator is bad, check fuel pressure to see if it is within the manufacturer's specs. If it is too high or low, then suspect the regulator, weak pump, or partially plugged fuel filter. Here is a link that explains how to check fuel pressure:

Also, note that often times a catalytic converter that is starting to plug can do this. In addition, I have seen many become detached internally and rattle around causing a blockage and then moving and allowing exhaust to flow.
