2003 Dodge Stratus engine change

My engine is a 2.7ltr flex fuel. Do I have to put the same engine (DIFFERENT) Back in. I would like to put a different motor in. If so what do I have to do thank you

For easier install, you should get another 2.7L flex fuel motor from another Stratus or Sebring. Do not get one from the Intrepid/Concorde series. The motor is similar, but they have different cams and you will have nightmares trying to get the engine to run right.

Even with the straight gas motor out of another Stratus, (I am unsure which is which, one is VIN T and the other is VIN R) you will need to use the PCM for the said engine to make the engine to work.

Any other engine size will require you the PCM, complete wire harness, engine mounts, just to say the very least.
