2004 Dodge Ram trouble filling gas tank

2004 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive 83000 miles

i have touble filling the gas tank every time i fill up it takes 30 minutes

Along the filler tube, there is a breather line. Is it aprox 3/4" in diameter and goes from the tank to the upper part of the filler tube. When fuel enters the tank, air needs to escape from that vent. If it is damaged or plugged, no air can exit. As a result, the fuel can't enter the tank and it kicks off the pump. Remove that hose and make sure it is in good condition and there is nothing blocking it.
